Lignin is a non crystalline substance that is mainly insoluble in any solvent at room temperature and does not have a melting point, but has a softening point. When the temperature reaches a certain value, the softening and bonding force of lignin increases, and under a certain pressure, the cellulose molecular clusters are displaced, deformed, and extended. The adjacent biomass particles inside are interconnected and recombined to form compression.
