Trailer head, also known as tractor or trailer head, is a vehicle part specifically designed to be connected to a trailer or semi-trailer. It does not directly carry cargo, but provides traction and control for the trailer behind through its powerful power system and control system. The trailer head transmits power to the wheels through its built-in engine and transmission system, providing sufficient traction for the trailer to ensure that the vehicle combination can overcome road resistance and travel smoothly.

Trailer head composition

Cockpit: A space for the driver to work and rest, equipped with seats, steering wheel, dashboard, air conditioning and other facilities.

Engine: The heart of a truck, responsible for generating power and driving the vehicle forward. The common types of engines are diesel engines and natural gas engines.

Chassis: The skeletal structure that supports the entire front of the vehicle, connects various components, and transmits power.

Suspension system: used to connect the front of the car and the wheels, absorb and disperse road vibrations, and improve the smoothness and comfort of driving.

Steering system: including steering wheel, steering rod, steering gear and other components, used to control the direction of vehicle travel.

Braking system: including brake pads, brake discs, brake fluid and other components, used to achieve braking and deceleration of trucks.
