Zinc sulfide is an optical material used in the infrared band. It is a yellow chemically inert material with good refractive index uniformity and consistency. Due to its wide transmission band (800-12000nm), zinc sulfide (ZnS) is widely used in the production of infrared optical components such as infrared windows and lenses.
