The WG3016 is an 8-channel single-mode variable optical attenuator built on MEMS VOA technology, engineered for parallel attenuation and power balancing in high-throughput single-mode optical module production. Each of its eight independent channels supports per-channel wavelength configuration across seven calibrated windows—1270/1290/1310/1330/1490/1550/1577nm—allowing a single 2U chassis to simultaneously serve ports operating at different wavelengths without reconfiguration. Attenuation spans a 70dB dynamic range in 0.1dB steps, with integrated per-channel output power monitoring (−60 to +20dBm, ±0.1dB accuracy) providing real-time verification without external meters. Open-loop mode sets a fixed attenuation value for fast production-line tuning, while closed-loop mode locks onto a target output power and automatically compensates for input power drift—decay repeatability tightens from 0.2dB (open-loop) to 0.05dB (closed-loop) under stabilized conditions. USB and LAN interfaces support full program control for ATE integration. The WG3016 is purpose-built for 800G/1.6T single-mode optical module production testing, ROSA/BOSA characterization, quantum communication light-source parallel regulation, and optical device verification—wherever eight single-mode paths must be attenuated and verified in lockstep.
