Characteristics

- Physical characteristics: It has good color retention, and the color remains bright and is not easy to fade for a long time; it does not get sticky when heated and does not become brittle when cooled, and can maintain a stable physical state in different temperature environments; it has a certain degree of flexibility and elasticity. For example, the thickness of composite rock flakes is generally 0.3mm, which is soft and elastic.

- Chemical characteristics: The materials and colors are composed of natural inorganic elements, with super water resistance and weather resistance. It can be closely combined with various water-based stone paints, and will not fade or powder during the mixing with stone paints.

Production and Processing

- Natural rock flakes: Usually, natural minerals such as mica are screened and processed.

- Dyed rock flakes: Generally, white rock flakes are colored with inorganic pigments and then fired at high temperature.

- Composite rock flakes: They are processed from raw materials such as kaolin, emulsion, and colored inorganic substances. The production process includes steps such as batching, stirring, dispersing and mixing, filtering, spraying into flakes, drying, soaking, drying again, crushing and screening.

Application Fields

- Architectural decoration: It is an important raw material for producing real stone paint and granite paint, which can endow the coating with a three-dimensional and rugged texture and a luxurious and elegant decorative effect. It is used for the decoration of the inner and outer walls of families, hotels, villas, building complexes, etc. It can also be used to make rock flake paint floors, such as elastic polyurethane art rock flake floors, epoxy rock flake floors, etc., which have both aesthetic and practical properties.

- Other fields: Due to its good insulation, high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance and other characteristics, mica rock flakes are also used in the insulation layers of electrical equipment, such as cables, transformers, etc.; it can also be used as a chemical filler in rubber, plastic and other products to improve their mechanical properties and chemical resistance.
