Daily Maintenance Items for Electric Aerial Work Platforms

I. Pre-operation Daily Inspection (Mandatory)

Appearance & Structure

  • Inspect the boom, outriggers, tires, pins and welds for deformation or cracks.
  • Ensure guardrails, pedals and emergency stop buttons are intact.
  • Check for signs of oil leakage, water leakage or electric leakage.

Battery & Electrical System

  • Ensure battery power and voltage are normal.
  • Inspect charging ports and wiring harnesses for damage or looseness.
  • Confirm no fault codes on the dashboard and all indicator lights function properly.
  • Verify that the horn, lights and alarm devices work normally.

Hydraulic System

  • Check hydraulic oil level is normal with no leakage.
  • Inspect oil pipes and connectors for aging or crushing damage.
  • Ensure lifting and luffing movements are free of abnormal noise or shaking.

Travel & Braking System

  • Check tire pressure and wear condition.
  • Ensure drive wheels and steering are flexible with no abnormal noise.
  • Verify parking brake and service brake are effective.

Safety Devices

  • Ensure tilt alarm, overload alarm and limit switches function normally.
  • Confirm emergency stop buttons on upper and lower controls are effective.
  • Check that outriggers extend, retract and lock properly.

II. Post-operation Daily Maintenance

  • Clean mud, sand, gravel and debris from the platform, chassis and boom.
  • Park the machine on level ground, retract outriggers and lower the boom completely.
  • Check battery power; recharge promptly if below 30%.
  • Wipe the control panel and check for spilled liquids.
  • Record abnormal noise, shaking or malfunctions and report for repair immediately.

III. Weekly Maintenance Items

  • Lubricate pins, joints, chains and pulleys with grease.
  • Inspect battery terminals, clean oxides and tighten connections.
  • Check hydraulic oil filter and oil quality; replace if necessary.
  • Test all safety devices: limit switches, tilt protection, emergency stops, overload protection.
  • Inspect brake wear and drive belt tension.

IV. Monthly Maintenance Items

  • Check battery electrolyte (lead-acid) or battery health status (lithium-ion).
  • Tighten key bolts throughout the machine: outriggers, slewing bearing, chassis connections.
  • Inspect hydraulic system pressure and adjust to standard values.
  • Clean motor vents and electrical box dust screens.
  • Check cables and hoses for wear; avoid crushing or abrasion.

V. Long-term Storage Maintenance

  • Fully charge the battery before storage; recharge every 15 days.
  • Support outriggers with wooden blocks to prevent long-term pressure on tires.
  • Disconnect main power supply and cover with a protective tarp.
  • Avoid exposure to direct sunlight, rain or flooding.

VI. Special Notes (Key for Electric Models)

  • Do not drive through water; electrical boxes and motors must not be submerged.
  • Use only the original charger; mixing chargers is prohibited.
  • Stop operation immediately if abnormal noise, shaking, oil leakage or electric leakage occurs.
  • Overloading, exceeding the rated elevation angle and unauthorized personnel riding are strictly prohibited.
