Silver label: With an expansion are of 36- 39:1, silver is our economy label. Silver will POP into fluffy bufferfly kernels with good taste. Silver is for the buyer who considers price first and is well suited for self - service retail sales. Itis also well suited for home popping and could also be packeged as microwave.
Gold label: This butterfly popcorn will expand more than silver, at a rate of 40-43:1. Pleasant to the eye and great tasting. Gold is well suited to be packaged into smaller quantities such as one or two pound clear bags. Gold makes a nice presentation from a retail shelf and may also be used as a microwave product.
Platinum label: Platinum is our highest expansion popcorn with a rate 44- 48:1. This is high qaulity, theatre grade popcorn. The expansion rate is very important to the theatre industry as a profit centre. The taste is excellent and platinum end users are theatres and concessionaires who normally sell popcorn to retail customers.
Mushroom label: This variety is primarily for commercial poppers who flavour the popcorn and package it for resale. The mushroom shape kernel is very few pieces that stick out after popping. The expansion rate for this variety is 36- 38:1. Mushroom popcorn is also great for kettle corn processing.
