Ignition timing is controlled using TPS information and igniter mapping for precise spark control. Mainframe High tensile steel mainframe, die-cast aluminum sub-frame designed for maximum strength and light weight. Sub-frame is detachable. Suspension Raptor-type double wishbone front suspension. Aluminum square tube upper arms and ball joints with forged aluminum knuckles for light weight. Lights Multi-reflector dual headlights. Compact lights employ 30/30 watt bulbs and feature an easy access aiming screw. Magnesium cylinder head cover and clutch cover for light weight. Reduced stroke crankshaft and connecting rod that reduces displacement from YZ-based engine to 439cc to conform to AMA racing regulations. Special clutch plate thickness increased 0.4mm from YZF for maximum durability in ATV application. Dry sump crankcase with remote aluminum oil reservoir reduces engine size and helps lower the CG and improve performance. New airbox design.
