This magnificent Salmiana agave also known as  "Maguey De Pulque" is prized for its ability to produce the nutritious "Pulque" beverage. Grows to large size. There are many varieties and cultivars of salmiana such as variety crassispina with fewer more narrow leaves and variety ferox, with wider leaves that recurve inward. this is a large drought tolerant landscape plant
