The product is a semi-fermented and semi-synthesized insecticide of avermectin type. The intermediate emamectin is synthesized by AVM under certain conditions, and then reacted with benzoic acid to get emamectin benzoate.

osmosis to form active ingredients. Research trials indicate that emamectin
benzoate is effective even at very low usage rates and not disruptive to
beneficial arthropods in integrated pest management programs (IPM).
