1-MCP; 1-Methylcyclopropene

1-MCP preservative is the idealest inhibitor for ethylene;

It is wildly used as fresh-keeping agent in agriculture industry by growers, packers, and shippers to maintain the quality of fruits and vegetables by preventing or delaying the natural ripening process.

 

 

Dosage

3.5% 1-MCP: 1 g works for a 15 cubic meter room of apples;

4% 1-MCP: 1 g works for a 18 cubic meter room of apples.
