It is used mainly as a human food and animal feed. It is widely accepted as an animal feed for cattles, piggeries, dairy feed, poultries.

It is also used for making our favorite popcorn, baby corn, sweet corn etc.

 There has been continuous increase in the consumption demand of corn mainly owing to increase in the demand from meat and starch sector, poultries and dairy feed.
