Hydrafinil, also known by its formal name 9-Fluorenol, is a eugeroic drug. state that it is more effective at keeping the target of the drug awake. In fact, an animal study conducted by Cephalon reported a 39% increase in effectiveness at keeping the mice awake over a 4 hour period. In addition, Hydrafinil is a weaker dopamine reuptake inhibitor . 

Hydrafinil;Fluorenol is an alcohol derivative of fluorene. In the most significant isomer, fluoren-9-ol or 9-hydroxyfluorene, the hydroxy group is located on the bridging carbon between the two benzene rings. Hydroxyfluorene can be converted to fluorenone by oxidation.

Application:

1.pharmceutical material for peripheral anticholinergic drugs which can smooth muscle spasm , ease the gastrointestinal tract, bile duct and urinary tract and inhibit peristalsis .

2.It applies to the stomach, duodenum ,colon fiber endoscopic examination as the operative preparation

3.it can be used for the treatment of gastrointestinal spasm,biliary Colic,renal colic or gastrointestinal peristalsis
