During the filling process of EPS embankment, attention must be paid to the connection between EPS and general filling sections. A transition section shall be set at the longitudinal connection section of EPS and soil embankment, that is, the EPS block shall be connected with the soil embankment in the form of steps, and the same is true in the transverse direction. At the same time, the EPS block shall be paved in a crisscross manner in the longitudinal and transverse directions, so as to facilitate the continuous stress and deformation of the EPS block.

The processing methods can be divided into mode method and extrusion method according to different foaming methods. This uniform closed cavity structure makes EPS have the characteristics of small water absorption, good heat preservation, light weight and high mechanical strength.
