During the filling process of EPS embankment, attention must be paid to the connection between EPS and general filling sections. A transition section shall be set at the longitudinal connection section of EPS and soil embankment, that is, the EPS block shall be connected with the soil embankment in the form of steps, and the same is true in the transverse direction.
