When the rated tension of the drawworks is greater than 125KN, a rope guide shall be set. At least 3~5 turns of wire rope shall be reserved on the drum, and the end of wire rope shall be fixed reliably. The distance from the outer side of the drum to the outermost steel wire rope shall not be less than 1.5 times of the diameter of the steel wire rope. During operation, no one shall cross the winch steel wire rope under operation.

When using the single drum winch, the lowering speed must be controlled by the brake, and the winch must be lowered slowly instead of too fast or sudden braking. It is prohibited to use the toggle switch to prevent collision and misoperation. The steel wire rope shall be regularly smeared with butter and placed in a special groove to prevent rolling and damaging the strength of the steel wire rope.
