Glasses are lenses embedded in the frame and worn in front of the eyes to improve vision, protect the eyes or for decorative purposes. There are also special glasses for viewing 3D stereo images or virtual reality images.

Modern glasses are usually equipped with a nose support (nose brace) in the middle of the lens and a cushion at the position where the left and right arms rest on the ear.
