The industrial production of cis-1,4-polybutadiene rubber adopts the solution polymerization method. The raw materials mainly include monomer butadiene and solvent, and the commonly used solvent aliphatic hydrocarbon, alicyclic hydrocarbon, aromatic hydrocarbon and mixed hydrocarbon. Auxiliary raw materials include catalyst, antioxidant and dispersant.

The rubber contains air and has a certain shock absorption function, but it is not very wear-resistant and has not been widely used. Sticky rubber is characterized by good flexibility and very anti-slip. It is generally used on indoor sports shoes.
