The ground fire hydrant is an outdoor ground fire water supply facility. It is used to supply water to the fire truck or directly connect with the water hose and water gun to extinguish the fire. It is a special facility for outdoor fire water supply. Its upper part is exposed to the ground, with obvious signs and convenient use. It is composed of valve body, elbow, valve seat, valve disc, drain valve, valve rod and interface. The ground fire hydrant is a necessary fire-fighting equipment in the city, especially in urban areas and areas with few rivers, to ensure the fire water supply. All factories and mines, warehouses, docks, freight yards, high-rise buildings, public places and other densely populated areas should be installed if conditions permit.

Fire hydrants should be placed in public shared spaces such as corridors or halls. Generally, they will be placed in the walls of the above spaces. They cannot be decorated. They should be clearly marked ("fire hydrants"), and obstacles should not be set in front of them to avoid affecting the opening of fire hydrant doors. The fire hydrants are generally not set in the room (such as the box), which does not comply with the fire protection regulations and is not conducive to the timely rescue of the firefighters.
