Double-sided adhesive tape is a coiled adhesive tape made of paper, cloth and plastic film as the base material, and then evenly coated with elastic pressure-sensitive adhesive or resin-type pressure-sensitive adhesive on the above base material. It is composed of three parts: base material, adhesive and isolation paper (film).

Double-sided adhesive tape can be classified into water-based double-sided adhesive tape, oily double-sided adhesive tape, hot-melt adhesive double-sided adhesive tape, embroidered double-sided adhesive tape, and plate-adhesive double-sided adhesive tape according to the purpose. The water-based double-sided adhesive tape has weak adhesion, while the oily double-sided adhesive tape has strong adhesion. The hot-melt double-sided adhesive tape is mainly used in stickers, stationery, office, etc. Oily double-sided adhesive is mainly used in leather goods, pearl cotton, sponge, shoes and other high-viscosity areas. Embroidery double-sided adhesive is mainly used in computer embroidery. The plate adhesive tape is mainly used for pasting and positioning of printing plates.
