The sprocket shall be installed on the shaft without swing and skew. The end faces of two sprockets in the same drive assembly should be in the same plane. When the center distance of the sprockets is less than 0.5m, the deviation can be 1mm; When the center distance of the sprocket is more than 0.5m, the deviation can be 2mm. However, it is not allowed to friction the side of sprocket teeth. If the deviation of the two wheels is too large, it is easy to cause chain loss and accelerated wear. Pay attention to check and adjust the offset when replacing the sprocket.

The sprocket tooth shape must ensure that the chain can enter and exit the engagement smoothly and smoothly, minimize the impact and contact stress of the chain link during the engagement, and be easy to process. See Fig. 1 for the tooth profile of common sprocket end face. It is composed of three arcs aa, ab, cd and a straight line bc, which is referred to as three arc-linear tooth profile. The tooth profile is processed with standard tools. It is not necessary to draw the end tooth profile on the working drawing of the sprocket. It is only necessary to note on the drawing that "the tooth profile is manufactured according to the provisions of 3RGB1244-85". However, the shaft tooth profile of the sprocket should be drawn. Refer to the relevant design manual for its dimensions.
