Customized Graphite Crystallizer for Cooper Continous Casting

Product description

Composed of four composite wall panels and an outer frame with wide and narrow faces. Mainly used for slab continuous casting, large cross-section square billet continuous casting, and special shaped billet continuous casting. Each composite wall panel of the combined crystallizer is composed of an inner copper plate connected by bolts (with a cooling water channel milled on the outer surface) and an outer steel water tank. A cooling water gap is formed between the inner copper plate and the outer wall for water cooling. Use a clamping mechanism to compress the four composite walls. In order to achieve online width adjustment of the crystallizer and form the required inverted taper, four sets of adjustment devices are installed on the upper and lower parts of the narrow wall panel of the crystallizer. When the assembled crystallizer and outer frame are placed on the vibration table, all inlet and outlet pipes are automatically connected. In order to better protect the lower mouth of the crystallizer and prevent premature and rapid wear, foot rollers or protective grids are installed next to the lower mouth of the crystallizer. The foot roller or protective grating vibrates together with the crystallizer. The crystallizer is directly aligned with the first section of the secondary cooling system (straight or fan-shaped) through a vibrating frame, facilitating accurate positioning of the crystallizer and the first section of the secondary cooling system. The two form a whole and can be quickly lifted.


To prevent molten steel from sticking to the inner wall of the mold during condensation, reduce friction resistance during billet drawing, improve the surface quality of the billet, and extend the service life of the mold, lubrication of the inner wall of the mold is also necessary in production. Lubrication is the use of liquid lubricants or protective slag with a boiling point higher than the temperature of the inner wall of the mold (about 200 ℃). During the vibration process of the mold, they are continuously brought into the inner wall below the steel liquid level and form an oil gas film or slag film between the steel or billet shell and the inner wall of the mold to lubricate the inner wall.
