Compared with incandescent lamps, floodlights save about 75% energy, and the luminous flux of 85W floodlights is roughly equivalent to that of 500W incandescent lamps. It uses solid mercury agent, even if broken, it will not cause pollution to the environment, with a recycling rate of over 99%, making it a truly environmentally friendly green light source.

Floodlights are not spotlights, projection lights, or spotlights. Floodlights produce highly diffuse, directionless light instead of a clearly defined beam of light, resulting in soft and transparent shadows. When used for object illumination, the speed of lighting reduction is much slower than when using spot lights. Some floodlights even have very slow lighting reduction, appearing as a light source that does not produce shadows. Spotlights project a directional and well-defined beam of light, illuminating a specific area.
