The horizontal measuring instrument mainly relies on the principle of gravity for operation. The instrument is equipped with precision bubble tubes or electronic sensors inside. When the instrument is placed on a horizontal surface, the bubbles will stay in the center of the bubble tube, or the electronic sensor will output a stable signal. When the instrument is tilted, bubbles will move towards the tilted side, or electronic sensors will output a changing signal. By reading the position of bubbles or the output value of electronic sensors, the tilt angle or height difference of the horizontal plane can be accurately measured.
