The Brazilian berry, also known as Euterpe badiocarpa and Euterpe oleracea, belongs to the palm family. It a tall and slender tree body, reaching up to 15-25 meters in height, with a trunk diameter of about 10-15imeters. It blooms brown and purple flowers, and its leaf sheaths are tinged with red. When ripe, the Brazilian berry fruits turn from green to purple measuring approximately 1-2 centimeters in diameter, and are arranged in clusters along each leaf sheath.
