What Is XHHW Cable?

XHHW stands for Cross-Linked High Heat-Resistant Wire.

It features stranded or solid copper conductors with cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulation, rated for 90°C in dry locations and 75°C in wet locations.

XHHW is manufactured in accordance with UL 44 and permitted by the National Electrical Code (NEC) and Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) for use in a variety of installations.

The cross-linked insulation provides excellent heat resistance, moisture resistance, and long-term durability.
