Application Scenarios Summary of Diesel Rough Terrain Scissor Lifts (RT Scissor Lifts)
Core Advantages: Four-wheel drive off-road capability, high ground clearance, long diesel runtime, heavy load capacity, no reliance on external power supply. Primarily designed for outdoor unfinished construction sites and uneven unpaved ground. Six major application categories are listed below:
I. Building Construction & Steel Structure Sites (Most Widely Used)
- Main structure construction: Rebar binding and formwork erection for factories, high-rise residential buildings and commercial complexes.
- Steel structure installation: Mounting steel columns, steel beams, purlins and roof color steel tiles for workshops.
- Exterior curtain wall, thermal insulation and coating works: Construction sites feature muddy ground, gravel and foundation slopes where electric scissor lifts are prone to getting stuck; diesel four-wheel drive enables smooth travel.
- Roof waterproofing and skylight installation for long-hour continuous operation at sites without temporary power supply.
II. Outdoor New Energy Projects
- Installation, module inspection and inverter maintenance for mountain & ground photovoltaic power stations.
Mountainous terrain with bumpy muddy roads and no mains power; strong gradeability supports large-area mobile operations. - External inspection of wind turbine towers and maintenance of fan platforms.
- Civil construction and equipment installation of energy storage power stations on large outdoor sites.
III. Infrastructure, Road & Bridge, Water Conservancy Projects
- Coating of bridge facades, guardrail installation and bearing maintenance.
- Outdoor equipment maintenance for dams, pump stations and sewage treatment plants.
- Road reconstruction and expansion, auxiliary construction of viaducts on gravel subgrade surfaces.
- Construction at open tunnel entrances (diesel models are not recommended inside enclosed tunnels).
IV. Large Industrial Parks, Heavy Industry Yards, Ports & Shipyards
- Civil construction, steel structure and pipeline installation on unpaved vacant lots of new industrial parks.
- Outdoor equipment maintenance for mines, cement plants and steel mills with dusty, uneven ground.
- Hull painting and pipeline maintenance at port terminals and shipyards; sites full of gravel and slopes with heavy-load requirements.
- Roof construction for logistics parks and large warehouses.
V. Large Outdoor Venues & Municipal Engineering
- Outdoor steel structure and roof construction for stadiums, exhibition centers and airport terminals.
- High-altitude installation and maintenance of municipal road greening, street lamps and billboards.
- Temporary setup for large outdoor exhibitions and infrastructure projects on vacant lots without power supply.
VI. Remote Field Sites Without Power Supply
- Inspection of overhead transmission lines and communication base station towers in the wild.
- High-altitude auxiliary operations for mines and field exploration.
- Outdoor steel structure erection for remote farms and large greenhouses.
Quick Guide: When to Prioritize Diesel Rough Terrain Scissor Lifts
The lift is suitable if any of the following conditions apply:
- The site has muddy, gravelly, bumpy or sloped ground requiring four-wheel drive for climbing and anti-stalling performance;
- No stable 380V external power supply is available on site;
- 8–12 hours of non-stop daily operation is required, exceeding the endurance of lithium battery models;
- Large load capacity is needed to carry multiple workers plus heavy pipes and equipment at height;
- The operation is carried out in open outdoor areas with no strict restrictions on noise and exhaust emissions.
Unsuitable Application Scenarios (Precautions)
- Interior finishing projects, shopping malls, hospitals, food workshops and enclosed basements (exhaust pollution risk);
- Residential areas at night and noise-restricted zones (diesel engines generate loud noise);
- Epoxy floors, ceramic tiles and polished paved surfaces (deep-tread off-road tires may scratch the ground);
- Narrow enclosed tunnels and poorly ventilated underground pipe galleries.
