Soybean seeds are used for cooking a variety of foods (milk,
cheese, butter, canned goods, etc.) and confectionery. Refined soybean
oil is used directly in foods, used to obtain mayonnaise and margarine,
used as the vegetable shortening and in the form of pharmaceutical
preparations. Soy flour is used for a variety of feed, baby food,
confectionery, dietary food, soy sauce and textured vegetable protein
that looks and tastes like meat. Soy sprouts are also used in the
foodstuff.

 

Soybean has great importance as a fodder crop.
It can be grown for hay, silage and green fodder. Soybean straw has high
forage quality; it’s digestibility is higher than most straw legumes.
Waste resulting from the processing of corn (cake and meal) - a lovely
concentrated animal feed.

 

Ukraine is among the ten largest soybean-producing countries in the world.
